Yeah, i just got this game from Wal-mart it was on sale for $10 it looked good so i picked it up

i've installed this game and im downloading the patch right now but everytime i click the launch icon i get a black square in the upper left hand of my screen that flashes for like once second then the game's little program tile comes up in the program tray on the start bar then as soon as it comes up and the black box flashes the program tiles dissappears

i've got new Directx and all but my compure is running i think a lazy ass "Viachrome" graphics card. yanno a stock one

ok i've installed the newest patch and the problem still persists


is it because i dont have a high end graphics card?

I would think that is probably the problem, although the spec. isn't that high....NVidia Geforce 2 GTS 64mb or better.... by the same token it could be your processor isn't up to the job.

I've seen DL collector's edition c1.5 on sale at Walmart for 9.99. If that's what you bought, THERE IS NO PATCH for version c1.5, what possesed you to think you could patch backwards with 1.4 or 1.3 ?

i have a problem on mine too and if anybody can help me id be realy glad!

When I started with DL I had the stock graphics card and had the same problem. I changed to a 252 gaphics card and get great results. Shop around you can probably find one on sale for about what you would pay for a 126 card.
