Quick save, save and load

Hi, I notice that when I get defeated and load the game my NPCs are not in the same place I put them in. They are alway gather together in a small pack. I tried to save it under a new title and still they gather in a small pack. I put Puppet on All and it still does not work. What's up with this?

it may be game's default setting.
main character alwayse be surrounded, and be protected by teammate.
not only F12, even you go into a new map , at the start point, your team also pack together.

It is how the game is- the game is rubbish when it comes to positioning, and especially repositioning, of companions at load/save and cut-scenes.
I've found no way around it, other then to live with it, and exploit that behaviour when I get annoyed enough
