Do I have to restart?

Hello fellow Morrowinders... I play the X-Box version of E3. I'm currently working on getting all 3 of the Great Houses, redoran, hlaalu, and telvanni, to dub me Horator. But I am stuck on Hlallu part because to become Horator I must have permission from all of the Councilmen/women, Mr. Dren of the Dren plantation is one of the Councilmen and before a took an extended break from the game I might of killed him... Now I can't get any of the Mr. Ules to agree to naming me Horator.

Any suggestions?

No, you don't have to start a new game. Killing Dren is inevitable anyway, he'll never give you his vote. Just get your disposition up with all the other council members, and you'll be fine. Speak with Crassius Curio first and you'll probably learn about this.

Okay well my disposistion towards Ules [He is the the guy next to the shipping house near the water] is at 100 but I can't even talk to him about becoming a Horator. It's not even an option to discuss..

Any more advice?

Have you convinced any of the other councilers yet? And have you also spoken with Crassius Curio?

Also....as far as i recollect, there are no councilors standing outside or next to water, they are all inside a house, either in Vivec, or in the vicinity around Vivec. So it's quite possible you adressed the wrong person, check inside the farmhouses, you must have overlooked a tiny detail.

The only council member on the Dren plantation is Dren.

Okay, now i know for certain you're talking to the wrong character. First of all, it's not a male you're looking for, but a female named Nevana Ules, and she is not anywhere near Dren's plantation, but inside Ules Manor on the top floor. Ules Manor is across the water from Suran.

Thanks much! When the directions to get all the councilers for Hlaalu were shown they didn't say to find Ules manor you have to go through Suran.... I just cut straight across the river-thing to Dren Plantation :D Thanks much again

O and on a side note what if lets say I killed the talking mud crab will he/she/it ever come back?

Always happy to be of assistance. :D

And as far as the mudcrab is concerned....i'm afraid dead is dead, also in the amazing world of Vvardenfell. I could be wrong here, since i never actually ran into this mudcrab (go figure, i finished Morrowind at least a half dozen times), but once you killed it, it's no more mr. mudcrab for you.

You could always use the Creeper in Caldera as a fence, he'll buy anything from you, including Dwemer artifacts, Moonsugar, and other items that other merchants regard as illegal.

Actually, if you raise Drens disposition up (i would say 100 to be safe) you can still convince him to give you his vote. i beleive you just need to agree to get rid of the imperials, and then he will say something about rubbing two coins together, and you have his vote.

Thanks for you input, Malus. But the issue was that I had already killed Dren way before I thought about the prophecies and the Nerevar and what not. But thanks I will use that information for my future mage character.

O and by the way if any of you care,

I am an Imperial Warrior

Level 36
Best in long sword
In several guilds, and only expelled from Temple and East Empire.
Grand Master of Morag Tong and House Hlallu
Which in my opinion is the best house... Except for the weird counselor.. Counselor Curio.... Is he of the male persausion or was him asking to kiss me a sign of loyalty?

Crassius Curio is probably just a gay Elf, but he might just as well be put in the game for the female characters, but i think that's a bit unlikely. :D

Crassius Curio is bugged. He was never meant to say all the stuff he does to male characters.

It was a laugh when I first met him with a male character...
Although I do believe he had different responses for a female,
If I remember correctly...long term/short term memory. :D
