Atribute and Feats point multipliers?

I´ve had KOTOR II for a while, and the first time i played i just sort of skimmed the surface. A week ago i started a new game, but this time i wanted to really do it right, but my character sucks, mainly because i haven´t been able to figure out how the atribute and feat point multipliers are assigned. And so i scowered this and other forums, trying to find some sort of guideline, but i found nothing. So basically what i wanted to know is:
What atribute yields what? Meaning, if i assign more point to Wisdom, or any other atribute at the start, how many points will i get to spend each time i level up? How does it work? I´m looking for a way to get more Feats and Atribute points, so where exactly should i spend my starting points, when choosing a new character? I can´t help but feel i did something wrong in my first character, because i´ve only got 4 Atribute points to spend, in over 20 level ups. Shouldn´t there be more? All i get is Skill and Force points, wich i don´t really care much for.
Is there a guide somewhere as to how it works? Or could someone explain it to me?

Now you got me confused. Are we talking of the same game here?? Because i was talking of KOTOR2:The Sith Lords, and nowhere in the game have i seen skills like Mercantile, Blunt Weapons or Blade Weapons, or haggling a merchant?! Infact, the whole description you gave is completely alien to me, at least on my experience in this game. I´ve always started my characters as Custom ones, so i don´t exactlly know what happens if i were to choose a pre-set character, but i doubt that much content would have slipped by me unnoticed. I have the distinct feeling you were talking of a MMORPG...

Wow, whoops. The original post I had made for some odd reason I was thinking of Elder Scrolls oblivion. I have NO idea where that came from but I guess I must have been tired at the time and just not thinking straight. Ignore anything I said above man, sorry for the confusion.

Feats you get by class. They are not related to attributes. Boost attributes with items and force valar.
Str: ups damage and to hit unless you use lightsaber finesse, in which case it just ups damage. Some people like armour build with Str. I prefer Dex/Wis build with robes. I leave this at 8.
Dex: Affects to hit with lightsabers (With finesse feat) and ranged weapons. Also boosts defense. Reflex resist.
CON: You get HP but meh. Only take if you want the implants. Implnats give you stat boosts so this could be worth it depending. For resist.
INT: For Skills. I only really use persuade. typically NPC's can handle skills. Repair may be useful for breaking down components for your npc's to make stuff.
WIS: Force points, resist will, and makes your force points harder to resist. With handmaiden feat (male only) this also adds to defense. So a high DEX, high WIS char is fairly untouchable.
Chr: Increases allies capabilities, makes resists versus your powers more difficult, and makes cross powers cheaper. This is a must for the neutral jedi. I take it fairly high just to get good force power ability and boost it a tiny bit with items and valar.

Thanks for answering, but that´s not quite what i asked. I already know that, what i wanted to know is what class gets what, and how the game determines how many points you have to spend each time you level up. I noticed that some of my NPCs sometimes get 3 Force points, or 6 skill points, or +2 Feat points to spend, while as others get just 1. So there has to be a class feature at work here, where some classes or atribute stats get a higher point multiplier. And that´s what i was trying to figure out.
The tool tips say that a higher Wisdom/Inteligence stat will get you more skill points to spend. So is there a similar multiplier that works for Feats and Atributes? Where do i spend my initial starting points, or in wich class, if i want to have more Feat points later on? And why do i get so few Atribute points, especially comparing to some of my NPCs, who have much higher stats than me?

No, attribute bonuses are fixed. For feats consulars get the least, sentinels, then guardians. However, what you get in feats you pay for with reduced force powers. As for the Npc's classes i don't know.

Have you considered reading the manual? Page 15? For exact feat and skill progression, I once more refer to Dsimpson's walkthrough at
Video Game Cheats - Video Game Reviews - Video Game Codes - Video Game Web Site - GameFAQs .
Hope this helps.

Generally speaking, how many skills points you get, both at character creation and level up, depends on your INT modifier. This is your raw INT modifier; implants and items don't affect how many skills points you get.
Your INT modifier is (INT-10)/2. It seems to me that you get 2+ INTmodifier skill points per level. If you are a Jedi Sentinel you get (I think) another 2 extra Skill points per level up than if you are any other class. I believe if you take a Sentinel equivalent as prestige the same is true from that point on, not retroactive..
Tech specialists get even more skill points per level, but unless you use the SGE that's only unjedified Bao-Dur.
