Clanging and Swooshing while Running (bug)

I have the feeling that there won't be much I can do here since I just did some hunting around Google and found nothing.. But, I'll take a shot anyway.
I recently realised that when I hit Shift in order to make my PC run, I start experiencing a constantly repeating clanging swooshing sound, First there's a clanging noise that sounds vaguely like thunder, and then I get a noise that sounds sort of like steam escaping; it's very irritating.
It is reminiscent of the sounds you get in Dwemer ruins, but not exactly.

Now, I can work around this by fortifying my speed with potions, or those boots, when I want to move quickly; combined with jumping this works quite well.
But, I'm mystified as to what is causing it. I don't think it is my sound card since it doesn't happen at any other time than when running...

Any thoughts or ideas?

No... erm.. what's MGE?

Anyway, it's a moot point. I discovered by fluke what was causing my problem. I am using Magical Trinkets of Tamriel, and I had equipped an Athlete's Emblem. It seems many of the emblems generate loud and unnecessary sound effects, and as soon as I replaced it with a less intrusive emblem, my character was able to run in blissful silence.
