With this team you are already late. A 6 members group can enter there anytime you want. Good items. Anoying maze. Good boss.

i personally do the first floor of watcher's keep, then yaga shura, then down to level 4 of watcher's keep, sendai's enclave, rest of watcher's keep, then abazigal...i find that this gives me the best stuff for the most fights.

I'll say with that team you're way overpowered! (just as the first guy that posted did)

See, the thing about all those dungeons is that most of the monsters are generated after your level, so they always provide an "this is hard, but doable" atmosphere, but the bosses remain the same.
For instance, it's no fun taking on Firkraag with a 17th level paladin, as the dragon's hardly a challenge(!)

I just battled the Chromatic Demon with a 14th level solo short sword dualwielding pure fighter - that was hard - but doable.
I'm afraid that you won't find any challenge in Watchers Keep, except for the boss, maybe.

I went to Watchers Keep immediately after killing Yaga-Shura and I think it was quite challenging (especially level 3,4 and 5).

I personally think that going to Watcher's keep after Yaga Shura but before Sendai makes the most sense (and as a bonus you can bypass the Oasis if you wish once you have gone to Watcher's keep).

If you do it this way (relatively late), you will find that the first two levels are fairly easy, the third a pain (all those dead magic rooms....high level parties tend to rely more on background spells), the fourth level a cakewalk, and the challenges of the fifth level to be another cakewalk.

OTOH, the guardians of the seal (since they are geared to your party level) are a *major* pain in the posterior (especially the Hive-Mother group). With the non-patched DG, the final seal challenge at this stage is HARDER than the big guy himself.

Yeah, don't skip the oasis! Even if you don't need a cool long sword, I think the oasis is just fun

I just think that the Oasis is one of the most fun battles in the game - not hard, but just this big crazy open air melee all across the screen - I think it's maybe my favorite battle in the whole game, it's a chance to really play general, use everyone's abilities, and just kick some a**!

I'm not planning on skipping any areas in tob.Is the first room you ever enter in watchers keep also the first level or is the area you get to trough the mirror portal the first?

The first room is the beginning of level 1.
