Ok, so I was doing the ULtimate Heist quest. Alerted the blind priests, but never found the elder scroll. I jumped down the chute and escaped. I realized i didnt have the scroll when i went to talk to Grey Fox. So i went back through the sewers and found the entrance, but it wouldnt open! (The door under the statue. I dont know any other way back into the Palace Library.
Here's my idea: I found a paintbrush. I duped before mentioned paintbrush. I plan on climbing my paintbrushes back up into the chute to try and get back into the palace. Anyone know if this might work?

Sorry... I can do nothing but laugh. :laugh:
Well not because it would be the dummest thing I have ever heard, but because I would say it is one of the most smartest solutions I've ever heard on a Oblivion forum. Unfortunately Oblivion doesn't exactly support creativity thus I do not think it would work. Thus I would have to draw the line again and ask; are you playing with PC or Console?


With PC the solution is simple, open the console and type an add item or set quest stage command and hit enter.

With console, do you have an earlier savegame - this should also work with the PC version.


And as a wild guess, you could try activating the huge hour-glass once again.

Im on Xbox 360. Im gonna try it later today, see if i can get up the chute. so far ive gotten just inside the bottom of it. Ill try the hour-glass, see if that'll open the door again.

Success! sorta...

I am happy to announce that i was able to get up the chute and back into the tower!!! So that puts the score at "Me: 1, Bestheda: 0." Now im sitting here in the reading chair. Problem is i dont think that the blinds are gonna gimme the scroll. Is there anyway to get it if they have detected you? Does one of the blinds have it on them and i can just go kill them for it?

how did you dupe? i thought they put an update for duping so u cant do it anymore, because i cant.
