KOTOR2 The Directors Cut

Lets face it if KOTOR2 was a film the original release would now be history and a directors cut would be standard with all the content that was intended. But heres the big question, if it was decided to create a directors cut, in theory, would we be happy to pay 'new game' prices? Or would there be a mass moan that we brought the original version and they should just patch it? What do you guys think then?

an xbox dir cut would be awsome BUT im not aying over 30$ for it...it will pretty much be a re-realse with features.

Well, I'd prefer that they'd patch it... maybe even sell the patch for $10 or something, I'd be fine with that. Dunno if I'd be willing to spend the money for a re-release of the game though.

I thought Director's Cut of a game is one that includes videos of the development of the game and some additional content not found in the original version? Anyway, if the 'Director's Cut' was released alongside the regular version, then it would be worth it but since it's been like 2 years (or more) after the release of KOTOR 2, releasing a Director's Cut would be pointless, in my honest opinion. Even if it's cheap, I wouldn't buy it either.

Here's the reason: You bought the original game 2 years ago and finished it. Fast forward to the present day, a 'Director's Cut' edition is released. Now, what would be the point of buying it if all you're going to get are additional content, some videos and easter eggs?

I'm finding it interesting that people would pay full price for a directors cut of a film (maybe even more than full price sometimes) but not for a game. There must be alot of games out there that never got released in a complete form as intended, and most games will have cut content that people would have loved to have seen in the game. I just wonder if people where happy to pay the full price if manufactures create extended edition 'directors cuts' of games. I suppose a draw back of this would be someone would make the extra content available for a free unofficial update (for PC's anyway).
