Gates to Luskan won't let me in. Please help. Spoiler

hey all, well the gates to Luskan won't open to me, iv been told by the spy master dude to go to the gates to meet the sergeant and there is no one there but the gaurds. if it is of help, i have fought the dwarf and his two gaurds that work for the cult aswell as been warned about another assassin and killed him too. (sorry bout the vagnous iv been trying to get through the gates for a while now and can't, so iv resorted to just lvlin my charecter with other little quests). Please help, i was really enjoying the game till this frustrating puzzle came along and i have read the walkthrough and done all it has said and yet still nothing...

Is your game fully patched?

Mugoo, check your inventory to see if you have the necessary 'passport' from the spymaster. Been a while (okay, long time) since I played NWN, but I have a recollection that papers authorising my entry were part of the requirements. If you have the passport, and that is not the problem, (it just isn't recognised in the game), then hopefully you have an earlier save. Sorry if I've got this passport idea mixed up with another game...

no im not patched, iv just got the shop copy. and as for a passport iv been to arrin gend and asked him 50 times over about every area he talks about but he just says to meet the sergeant at the gate... really devo'd cause i don't have an earlier save.

I'd recommend using the update function on the NWN loading screen to update to the newest version - Luskan is notoriously buggy so its a good idea to get the patches.

thx all. i solved it. i downloaded the patch but it didn't work. so i saved my charecter and restared chap 2 then ran through it real quick. thx for all the help anyways.
