Bad News: that little Dagoth of a nephew got to my game files and saved games. My Bosmer was level 45 and main quest finished, was halfway through Tribunal and Bloodmoon
Now cannot get game to load, he deleted random files...N'wah:laugh: ...looks like a weekend of re-installations, patching and adding mods.. :(
The Good News is I've been wanting to start a fresh game/character and I have most of my old mods (thank goodness) saved. :D

Need recommendations for any Newer mods out there. Either post or PM me.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not totally sure how you are defining newer mods, but here's a shot anyway:

Mournhold Expanded (newly patched) - Very nice... If you have the computer to run it.

Souly Soulgems - a great texture replacer for soul gems

Swampy Swamps (updated) - Beautiful retex of the Bitter Coast

btw.. WARNING - re-installs are highly addictive :p

EDIT: Here's a suggestion, something I've found helpful, create a data files folder with all of your favourite mods and retextures dumped into it... Then you can simply copy it over into your main MW folder. This makes subsequent re-installations *much* less tedious :D

Do you have a list of any kind with the mods you already were using? That way we won't be giving you "old news" ;)

Regarding order, the only thing I've ever found really critical, is if you use NOM it always needs to be installed last, and of course you need to be certain you won't have incompatibilities. There are some good tutorials on this out there though:

This makes things much easier.. ;)

Okay, instead of "Better Books" I would recommend: Book Jackets. Absolutely stunning work. Be sure to grab the accompanying mods (can be found on the same page) for the two expansions.

Regarding Sloth's Better Beasts, it's a must have in my view, I prefer the non upright (more bestial) version, but that is subjective, of course.

A fantastic quest mod, if you can run it, is The Underground (description).
download link

Another terrific quest mod: The White Wolf of the Lokken Mountain

The Seaside Cabin is nice, you might also want to consider: Thirsk Retreat

That should get you started for now, and no doubt once Fable sees this he'll be adding some suggestions as well :D

Oblivion Style Spellcasting: Let's you cast spells while your weapon is drawn.

Morrowind Economy/Trade Fix 18: Approximates a more reasonable economy, limited trade stocks on items, traders have their own mercantile levels, pawnbrokers occasionally get rarities in, etc.

Health Indicators: Provides a bar for each NPC showing how their health is in battle.

LGNPC Vivec Redoran: Individuality for all NPCs in this vault, plus many side quests.

Mournhold Expanded: More than 200 new cells. Much for pure visuals, also some that's very functional. Princess Stomper's work, so stunning.

MCA 5.1: The mod that adds citizens to walk those otherwise abandoned streets (and occasionally in the wilderness), in so many different classes, most of whom you can interact with.

All this is recent stuff, as in, the last month or so, and can be found on PlanetElderScrolls.

Thanks Fable.... :)
I downloaded Mournhold Expanded this AM, after I read this thread.
Yes I did use most of my time picking out new mods to use and what older ones that I had. Some I did not install but have for the future.
Now on to the creation of a new character.. :D

BTW spent almost all night reading the mods links and the other thread, picked up some more of your suggestions from these. Thanks again

and just found my TES tools and told it to auto clean all installed mods...and haven't eeven started new game yet.

I seem to enjoy this part as much as actually playing the game...go figure..
maybe I should put this in the "You know you're addicted " thread... LOL

Yep, I understand that completely. I'm compulsive about reinstalling because with a new set of mods it feels like you are going to be playing an entirely different game. Owing to this addiction, I've never actually finished everythig there is to do... :o

More on topic, be a bit wary of cleaning, once when I did that I seriously screwed up a bunch of dialogue. Everyone I spoke to kept telling me there was a bad man in their house and could I please get rid of him... :speech:

Considering your previous experiences, you may wish to avoid installing Children of Morrowind. ;)
