I have been down to Bodhi's layer in Chapter3, because Aran Linval told me to stake the Vampires. But I get torn to shreds, and I have an Undead Hunter and Anomen has an amulet that makes him immune to level drain. I need some advice from old people!

Ok, assuming you hvae the following items, Boots of Speed and Ring of Regen or Gaxx. First loot the Mace of Disruption, that can randomly kill undeads in a single hit (experience tells me that your chances are low or an instant kill). Just give Anomen the Amulet of Power and let him do it himself. Have everyone else stay back, don't go charging in head on into a group of vampires. Proceed slowly, and when you see a vampire, pull back and fight him one on one. If Anomen needs some help, send in a couple more with good ranged weapons.

Oh yeah, a Helm of Charm Protection is always nice also.

Also, if you have Adjatha the Drinker, +2 long sword, this makes you immune to domination.
Daystar works great, due to the Sunray ability. This is my personal favorite weapon in the game just because it has class.
Chaotic Commands (5th? lvl cleric spell) protects you from mind affecting spells.
Make sure your Undeadhunter leads the way, so the vamps will attack him/her, since the undead hunters are immune to level drain.
Neg. Plane Prot. (4th? lvl cleric spell) helps against level drain, but I don't like the duration
I agree with Yuusuke, go for the Mace of Disruption. It works great in conjunction with greater malison (lvl 4? mage spell).

I just wanted to add that you can't have boots of speed until you reach the Asylum. What a hell is the amulet of power?

With vampires, fight them one at a time until later in the game when you can take more a lot at once. Have someone with at least three casts of restoration and/or some scroll of it. In Ch. 3 just take it slow and easy; Bodhi's not going anywhere so don't get yourself killed.

I don't know about the one at a time. Its generally the safest way, but someitmes you might want to try more than one as long as you have Daystar (or any other way to cast Sunray). Sunray will often take down half of them in one shot, and since it is an item's ability, I don't believe it can be interrupted if you are hit. It's never happened to me, anyway.

Or to really make Undead bashing easy... Equip you're heavyweight undead basher, be it a highlevel priest, wizard or warrior, with the protection from undead scroll.

Under it's effect my character was able to take care of all the undeads without nary a scratch. It's really cheezy tactics though and should only be used as a last resort in my humble opinion.
