hi all,
i would like to hear from you as for powerfull spells, overlooked spells, undersestimated/overestimated spells, spell combinations, mage strategies,
but still no cheese... such as Energy blades replicating the effect of the off-hand weapon...
or simplt your favourite spells and why...

one for instance that i think will work is casting time stop and casting spell immunity abjuration to a tank, and leaving the tank to hack away (not sure this works though)...
Feeblemind with greater malison and doom (useful if you have many spellcasters..)
and so on...

thanks anyone:angel:

Time stop + Harm need Aerie to do this but it is the most powerfull combo out there

Time stop + Improved alcracity + Vecna + Amulet of Power = Empty spell book

Time stop + shapechange mindflayer

some may view the above as cheesy, but I say their just powerfull combinations. I'm not exploiting the engine in anyway nor am I doing anything that's not in the spell discription

ok let me get this straight...

Dragons, if the AI was proper, such as that of a DM, could do some serious whacking... in my first gone through i beat Firkraag with my party after trying a few times... probably Insect Plague helped at the time...

One of my favorites is a Spell Sequencer with Remove Magic + Greater Malison + Emotion: Hopelessness.

My all time favorite spell, however, is Shapchange. The Iron Golem and Greater Werewolf form are amazing in any fight.

Anyone will also mention Chain Contingency with three ADHW's set on nearest enemy. Doing that has the same effect as a magic trick: Poef! Everything is gone.

By the way, you can't cast Spell Immunity on someone else.

True, i discovered that yesterday...that's why you need Aerie I guess...
don't really like her, she's too frail and "oh poor me where are my wings" kinda girl...

thanks for your suggestions, keep posting!

If used properly Aerie can, in time, become one of the most powerful party members available. Just make sure you don't have her in the front lines, and be certain to use all of the spell protections available to her.

Just think, all of those clerical and mage spells combined with Timestop, Triggers and Contingencies... Add the Robe of Vecna for casting speed, along with a certain amulet you get during the main quest, and she's unstopable.

oh well...

i think i'll try her in a reduced party sometimes...
having Kelsey means that the robe of Vecna belongs to him...
