Half-elven noses

Anyone noticed that half-elves get enormous noses? They're bigger than the dwarves´, even bigger than the gnomes'. Incredible. I've tried to play a half-elf wizard for a few days now, but I just can't get over how extremely un-elven he looks. Anyone heard of an elf-gnome? Going back to humans, I suppose...
