Just three questions I have:

1) When shopping for spells, I always see spells that need 800-900ish magicka. By my calculations (which aren't too precise of course), I concluded that getting all that magicka would require heavily enchanted equipment, being a high elf, with the atronach birth sign and having maxed out intelligence, plus quite a bunch of fortify magicka potions and buffs. Is that the only way to cast those spells, or what's the deal with them requiring all that magicka?

2) What are exactly the effects of the chameleon spell? In Morrowind, chameleon would give you a percentage of chance for enemie's attacks to miss you (between other effects, I think), but that doesn't seem to be the case in Oblivion. Even with 25-30% chameleon I still get hit every single time.

3) Eventhough I don't think this is a spoiler, I'll write it as one, just in case:

In the quest for the Heavy Armor master trainer, you are sent to look for a guy in an inn near the Imperial City, and he tells you to deliver him a silver pitcher and four "silver glasses". I don't remember seeing any "silver glasses", just silver goblets and tankards. I've tried giving him the goblets and pitcher but he wouldn't accept it. Where do I find these silver glasses? Or if they're not item by themselves, what items does he mean with that?

1) Each level you go up in a certain magic class will lower its magicka cost. So if the spell would be 800 at lvl 1, say destruction. at lvl 100 (Master) it would cost 700.

2) Chameleon makes you partially invisible. So if you take 30% Chameleon, you would be 30% invisible, so 30% less seen by enemies, but still able to open things.

3)SPOILER: The Trainer at the Roxey Inn north of the Imperial City wants you to get 1 Silver Carafe and 4 Silver Glasses if i remember correctly. You can buy these at for example Jensine's Good as new Merchandise or the Three Brothers Trade Goods.

I did look even harder for those items from question 3, and found them shortly after posting this here (talk about murphy's law, I had been looking for those for the whole day and didn't even find them in those shops you mentioned, when I decided to post here), but thanks anyway.

Abou the chameleon spell: if for example I enchant my items to get up to 100% chameleon, then I'll be constantly invisible while wearing them? Meaning I'll get sneak attack bonus in every single swing?

Yes, it does. I myself have 120% chameleon (4 transcendent sigil stones) and I always have the 6x attack bonus, can open everything and remain invisible, yada yada yada
