Is it possible to get the Paladin & Samurai secondary classes before Fargrove closes?

Once you first leave Fargrove, through the west gate, it's impossible to get back in untill you've done everything necessary in the following locations;
Arindale, Ulm, Arindale, Bolen Fields, and finally re-enter at Fargrove's west gate.

I don't think Fargrove closes until you 1) start on the Arindale quest line or 2) pick up a moonstone, so you should be able to leave, complete some class quests, and then return if you want.

Not actually impossible, you can always climb over the mountains (just north of the campfire where the guy in the Samurai quest hangs out) and enter the south gate, which never closes. Just remember to get a moonstone first, and don't try exiting the west gate.

You have to finish the Arindale+Ulm quests to get the eastern (samurai,monk etc.) classes.

No you don't, you have to complete them before you can get the 3rd tier eastern classes. The second tier classes (Samurai, Monk, Budoka etc) can be gained before taking on any of the main Arindale quests.

I have never had a problem re-entering Fargrove after leaving the West gate the first time. The lockdown does not occur until after obtaining a moonstone and/or embarking on the Trial of the Elders. You can also receive second tier classes from the Eastern House in Arindale, complete the quest on the way back to Fargrove and get your promotion from the House of the Dragon guy in Fargrove. But yes, before you can complete any third tier class promotions you will need a moonstone, hence you will probably want to complete the Trial/Ulm quest...
I know this is basically the same info that has already been imparted by a few members, but I wanted to emphasize the point.
