Need help with game crashes

Hello everyone. Been reading over the forums for the past couple of days trying to see if I can find a solution to a problem that I am having.

The problem is this... After getting Handmaiden "jedified" and the Betrayal cutscen starts up, I get dropped back to the main menu. And once there I have to Alt-F4 out of the game and restart. Now before anyone starts yelling "do a search on the forums", I have already done that. And I have already downloaded and installed the patch from The Sith Lords Restoration Project. And I have already restarted a game WAY back in the game and played back through it again. But it is still crashing on me. I have even tried disableing the movies in hopes that would clear it up. Still no luck.

I am also having the same problem when I try to get back to Telos as well.

Am I going to have to start a new game over in order for this patch/fix to take effect, or am I missing something?

Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated.

*-*Update*-*
It seems that I can not travel to any planets now. I keep crashing to the main menu everytime that I try. So hopefully this addition will help someone help me. :D

Hello, Maljin. Welcome to the forums. :)

About your problem. It does sound like the files in your game are corrupted or something. Have you tried re-installing the game to see if it helps or not?

ok I have reinstalled the game, but it still crashes on me. I have also reinstalled the patch and all avilable fixes found on The Sith Lords Restoration Project. Any other ideas or suggestions?

I'm not sure if these methods work but here are some of the few I know:
- Enable software acceleration at the sound menu
- Switch the compatibility mode to Windows 98
- lower the sound acceleration at the DxDiag menu

Either one of them should work. Hope this helps. :)

Well I have tried all three of the options that you have given, but none of them work. I've decided to just try and start a new game. Perhapes the Save Game file itself is corrupted.

Thank you for all the help DesR85.
