I am on chapter two, just got the quest to find all those statues that will give me power to beat kings of shadows. I already got four of them but when I go into the small hut that the last one is nothing happens. There's some undead in there, but they just stand there, I can't kill them or speak to them, has anyone encouterd this problem?

I presume you are in the gem mines. Try to talk to the librarian, he will tell you, that you need to shut down the ghost lights. But remember you need to use them as gates: have to block the ghosts way back, and leaving the only route to the main chamber.
Also I have a problem here. First of all I cannot go through the song portal. I tried to use the gnome bard there, but it did not help. What should I do?
And the second thing is that I cannot use the first statue. If I click on it, it says something like this: Faliure: you cannot use this item while in combat. Of course I am not in combat. Is there some console command which can turn combat mode off?

I never used the bard with the song portal. I kept the lizard lady with me, and it was with her, that the "cutscene" focused on. Said something like "I can open the song gate, blah blah".

I tried bringing a bard to the portal as well, but that's not what opens it. The portal will only open after you've activated four of the statues.

For the first statue, you're still considered in combat shortly after a fight, so if you fought some orcs next to the statue and then immediately clicked on it, it might not work. If the problem persists, try resting or loading your game, and see if that clears your character.

Tried all that. I rested, did not help, I saved/loaded, did not help, left the area, and back again, ditto. Maybe I messed up with that I activated the gem mine's statue first, I missed that stone in the front. Also I wonder if the orc camp has to do it somehow, since I befriended them. Maybe I will genocide all orcs there, hope it helps.

Yes, I've patched the game. Zamiel, as I told so do I have problems getting the last staty, the one in the hut, and in the hut there's some undead and a song portal (not activated?). When I go into the room there's a VERY short scene, I just see an undead and the it stops. Might the problem have something to do with that scene? I use Kelgar, the gizerai, Neksha and Quara. Anyone?

. I remember using the song portal for the first time, and if im not mistaken, it takes you to

. From which you then need to travel to the "hut". Once entering, you see a

cutscene with an undead blowing up your saught after statue. You blah blah for a while, and then fight the undead. After which, you decide that whoever used the stone before you, will "cross your path eventually" and go to work on something else.

. So, I guess, if this is what happened, then, you've got no worries, and can go about your merry way. If not, make sure you've gotten all 4 statues already and used the song portal. I suppose it's possible to simply show up at

that's why I put the bit in about using the song portal. You get a cutscene for using it.

Well, it does sound as a bug that the specific script (cut-scene) doesn't trigger for you.

What possible could be done, if comfortable with the toolset; would be to find the area in the toolset, find what script needs to be run and then using the console (10:1 there is a run-script command as there was in NwN) and see if that can trigger the convesation.

Otherwise, I have no idea.

That's bad, I've no experience at all with any sort of toolsets :S. It's not much of an idea, my entire save game is bugged. Thanks for all help though! I just have to do chapter one again... Not this week though..
