Is anyone else experiencing this bug?

I just got the game, and I've only played it a little bit, due to school and such, so I can't comment on the overall quality of the game, but I have already noted a few bugs. One thing I'd like to complain about, but isn't the bug I am curious about, is the shadows. The graphics designers totally botched them, just like in NWN1. They just look really bad, and I turned them off and the game looks better now. Anyway, on to this bug.
I'm not sure what it's called, but it's the box where details show up; so much damage done, gold or items picked up, dialog spoken, etcetera. Well, there is a box where you can type your own things in, useful in multiplayer to communicate with other players. I'm not sure if the bug exists in multiplayer, as I've been playing single player. Anyway, the bug is this: the box where the user can input, which looks like it should go UNDER the box with the items picked up and damage dealt box (where such boxes are in most games) is, for me, smack dab in the middle of the results box, obscuring most of the text. If you click in this box, and the cursor flashes, letting you know you can type things, and then you hit Esc...the game crashes. This consistently happened to me; I tried it quite a few times, to check if it was a bug.
