Bugged out, can't progress (may contain spoilers)

When I travel from Bonegnasher Clan to Drawven Scouts map, it says I have encountered something along the way. I fight a bunch of orcs then the screen goes into cinematic mode as if theres going to be some cutscenes, but the screen just fades and it goes back to normal mode. If I then try to access the world map to continue to Dwarven Scouts, the world map does not come up! I'm stuck here, there is no way in or out, only one world map portal and it doesn't work.

Did you download and install the 1.01 patch? Have you updated your video drivers?

Yes I am patched, I dont have the absolute latest drivers for my card but I don't think thats the problem. I found other posts on Atari forums but developers had nothing to say about it.

Sorry to hear that. But I would suggest considering a download of the latest drivers. Barring that, there's always waiting for another patch.

Well i screwed around and I seemed to have got passed it, so hopefully this post will help anyone else that finds this bug.
Before I killed all the orcs in the area I ran to the end where the world map portal is. After I killed all the orcs this time around, the cutscene started up as opposed to it not starting before. You have to leave this area with a paladin, that must be why I could not access the portal previously because the cutscene did not run and I did not get the paladin in the party.

I really dont see how that could be a video driver issue. That's just...not very likely. Did you exhaust ever dialoge option while in Old Owl Well? If I remember correctly, the cutscene you are supposed to see is
Casavair, a paladin, comes in and you strike a nice little conversation. blah blah. Then you continue on into the bonegnasher area.
With what i've seen of the game thus far, it wouldn't surprise me if you missed something, and the game doesn't know what it should do when it should have brought up the cutscene.

IIRC, the game forces you to take a paladin companion with you when you start the quest. If you dumped him at some point before completing it, that probably caused the problem.

I have found the ultimate solution to this problem.
I have had it happen again in different areas, cutscene doesn't start and you are stuck trying to do whatever.
The problem is not having YOUR character selected when the cutscene is supposed to start. If you ever get stuck somewhere, reload and make sure you have your character selected before you finish kills that are supposed to trigger the cinematic sequence.
This is a bug that I'm expecting will be immediately fixed in next patch (hopefully). People complaing about it all over Atari forums.

Sounds feasible. Still seems odd to me though, as, if I have another character selected, and go to talk to an NPC, it automatically puts me back on my own character. Maybs it's a 1.1 patch problem, as I never patched my game.

I have patch 1.1...and it does switch to your character if you talk to a quest npc, but the problem arises when you don't have to talk to an NPC and the cutscene starts after you kill the last mob that will trigger the sequence.
