Does Parrying Work?

I just had a thought (haven't bought the game yet), and wondered if parrying works in NWN2 (unlike in 1). It could be cool to have a master bladesman with high parrying I think.

I haven't seen any signs letting me know when I have parried. But, I imagine it's just added into your defense check, or something along those lines.

Sadly you need to activate parrymode in order to use it and afaik it renders you defensive. Meaning whilst in parrymode you do not attack just parry so wait to get hit or parry and hope you make a counter....
