Bizarre still spell behavior

I've got the Still Spell feat. When I right click, choose MetaMagic, then Still Spell, sometimes there are spells in each circle, and sometimes there aren't. These appear to occur randomly, right after one another, without anything being cast in between: I'll see the spell symbols around a given spell circle, exit, reenter, and find nothing. Move a short distance across the room, try again, and find the spell symbols back. Any idea what's going on? I'm running HotU, fully patched.

No clue to be honest. You aren't attempting to cast different spells and trying to apply that feat and having different results depending on the spell are you?

No, just trying out the interface, which I haven't seen since NWN first came out. So while I should be able to cast a host of magic missiles, for example, at a higher level, I can, then I can't, then I can, etc.

Very very weird. Sounds like a weird bug. I tend to try shutting down the game, rebooting my system and reloading the game to see if that works. If not, trying to revert to an older save game might work. If not....start the fun over with! If that doesn't work, welll....reinstalling the game and starting over might be necessary.

I didn't reboot my system earlier, after installing, so maybe that will do the trick.

That just might be it then. I have often had minor random problems from not rebooting after installing. Even if it does not say to reboot, it generally is a good idea when installing a large program like that. There are times I ignore the "Shut down all other programs..." warning, run other programs while installing, and regret it too. :o
