quest junk

i finshed the mage guild storyline and i still got the collosal black soul gem and (the cheydinhal head mage guy's key i forgot his name) and i dont know what to do with them. I got no quests that do anything with them, can i get rid of them or do they stay it my inventory?

It's a known bug. There are a handful of quest items that can't be dropped after the quest that requires them is completed, and Falcar's Key and the Colossal Soul Gem are on the list.

Dragon, where do you get the damaging magicka scroll at for the Vahtacon quest?

behind the table near the guy that translates the words..or watever theres either a barrel or crate full of magic scrolls. or you could buy the spell from someone at the guild
