Where is everyone? LA? Rav? CM? DW?
Banshee's been upgraded so much. It looks pretty cool.
I like the new quick edit function, helps a lot. Is there a quick reply option that has to be turned on?
Also, are [img] tags now enabled? Or does Buck still have 'em off?

Just found out some people have been banned. One of 'em was someone I liked, too.

LOL! I don't know many people at GB! Just a few who post in some game threads I post in too - Oblivion, Lionheart...
Ravager is the only one who posts in THIS forum that I know from Lionheart forum. I hardly ever come in here. The threads are too damn long and everyone posting knows each other so I feel like an intruder. Like a non-member walking into an exclusive club, if ya know what I mean?
I'm sure I would like a lot of you if I got to know you.

Yeah, AJAX is a pretty nifty web-technology, makes webpages seem much faster and responsive. But the quick reply is not enabled currently.

Still off, and doubtfull it will change any time soon.

Nobody knew each other when they started posting

- But I know how you feel, it is the same when you enter any forum where people are posting, whether a serious forum or for computer games or mearly chit-chatting. One just have to find some threads to participate in and start posting
If anything, there are always the "pub-threads" which carry little to no real topic, so it is easy to just jump in.

Not anymore he doesn't. He's quite close to something similar on other sites for his actions lately as well.

Same here. I also felt like an intruder the first time I came here. I quickly abandoned this section soon afterwards and ended up posting at the gaming sections where I felt more at home.

Now, I'm a little bit more brave to come here and post but its very limited at best. I still prefer the gaming sections somehow.

Nuh-uh! It's those threads I just can't even look at without shuddering! Too damn long!
And as for the others... there are not that many topics that take my interest. And those that do... well, I mostly read/post in a couple of game threads and don't come in here much, so if I see something interesting, it's generally several pages long already, and what I wanted to say has been said, lol!
My own fault. I should come in here more often!

Yup! But I also post on several other sites, you know, and I Mod in one place, besides having a life.

so my browsing time in here is a bit limited!

I understand perfectly.

Which game threads do you post in?

I'm surprised, actually. I always found him a nice friendly guy; we got on ok. He was very helpful with info about games. I'm a helluva lot more controversial than I ever found Ravager! He always seemed careful not to rock the boat. I don't mind rocking boats. :mischief:

Fable: The Lost Chapters' thread, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I, II and III thread. That's where I usually hang out.

My lack of interest in RPGs is the reason why the scope is so limited.

These threads got closed when the post limit came in. This was just before people got banned.

Demoted, banned, stormed off for various reasons, and still around and a mod - respectively.

Nice to see you around again Fljotsdale, I recall your posts in a few threads and I enjoyed reading them.
I also remember that you frequented the Succeeder Stronghold for quite a while and then we didn't see you visiting GB at all for some time. I take it that RL and other forum responsibilities kept you away, and then it was just too difficult to reintegrate into the flow of things?
Don't worry about it, many people leave for a long time, years in some cases, and they return to settle back in again.

A helluvalot of people. Lestat, Ravager, Fiona, Phreddie, Damuna Nova, Dragon Reborn, Tony Montana, for a variety of reasons, mostly related to the policy.

No, Luis. It was because they wanted to create a radioactive waste zone in SYM where nobody would post, and where the only thing discussed would be why Rav couldn't change the mods' request to close any thread hitting 1500 posts.
Buck had previously had a 10,000 post limit. Without any input. Then removed it. Without any input. And when we wanted a limit back, because we think it will make moderating easier, without preventing anybody from continuing any discussion with a second, new thread--that annoyed Rav. And he was out for blood.
And his friends got pissed along with him, after reading the selected posts he stole from a private moderating forum, which was obviously the result of dark conspiracies, and which he passed along in another private forum. And began disrupting everything, and refusing Buck's request to discuss matters in PMs.
That's why. Out front. End if story, and end if thread.
