Gray Fox doesn't have to hide any more (SPOILERS)

My latest character took a while getting around to the main quest, and completed the TG questline before returning the amulet to Jauffre. Got to Kvatch and enemies in the oblivion gate had leveled with me so I needed an edge. I put on Nocturnal's Cowl for the sweet detect life enchantment, and to help me carry all that ridiculously heavy daedric loot. Well, in the heat of battle I forgot to remove the cowl before taking the sigil stone. Back in Kvatch, all the soldiers were like "You're the Grey Fox! Thanks for closing the gate!", and nobody tried to arrest me. Yes, the Grey Fox is now the Hero of Kvatch!
Well, that got me thinking - bounty, fame and infamy while wearing the cowl accumulate separately from those accumulated without it. So... long story short, I kept the cowl on, sneaked into Bravil and had Skriva pay off my bounty, and to my surprise, it worked! I can now walk around in broad daylight wearing the cowl and nobody tries to arrest me! Next I'm going to try getting my fame higher than my infamy (100) wearing the cowl, so I can even get blessed at the temples without removing my mask
