Hi Everyone,

Thank you in advance for helping me with this problem. I have cleared everything and I am in Ulgoth's Beard right now with the directive to go to Baldur's Gate but I can't get in. How do I achieve this?

Have you tried crossing the bridge?

Have you finished chapter 4? (the mines one?)

You need to do both to enter the gates, and you need to enter Baldur's Gate by the bridge, then go into a specie of "slum" so that you'll be able to search the rest of the town.

*** Minor Spoilers ***

Sounds like your first time playing BG dude? Congratulations on discovering this amazing game.

What chapter are you in?

While you can enter Ulgoth's Beard at any time, other areas are inaccessible until a chapter and/or event is triggered. Starting a new game triggers the "Prologue" chapter. Telling Gorion you are ready to leave Candlekeep triggers Chapter 1. Entering Nashkel for the first time triggers Chapter 2. And so on.

I assume you tried crossing the bridge in the area in front of the city, and found the gate on the bridge closed...

MINOR SPOILER: the city of BG is only accessible when Chapter 5 is triggered.

So, what chapter are you in dude? We can spoil what triggers each chapter if it'd help.

I believe that you could walk on the bridge even if not in the right chapter, then Scar or the Flaming Fist guard will come and give you a short speech of what you need to do next.

So the you can get there anyway, understood from your post that you couldn't get on it..
