What is the purpose of the wine, ale spirits, Ao wine, and so forth that show up throughout the game? I have been keeping all of it that I find but I haven't seen what good it does.

There is no purpose for it really. You can drink and get drunk or you can sell it for a bit of extra cash

On an unrelated note, but I don't feel like starting a new thread: am I going to get back my stuff from the HotU opening? I worked hard for it and some of it I had just got.

That's been asked a lot of times, so I'd recommend using the search function, but the short answer is yes, you will get them back again (or at least most of it).

Wait, what! I never got my stuff back. I searched but didn't find anything- can you clarify?

Near the end of chapter 1 in HOTU you come across a Drow camp. There is a chest in that camp that contains most, if not all, of the items that were stolen by the Drow thief at the start of HOTU

Thanks Mr. Sir. I did find that chest, but I guess I never realized that it contained my lost items. It didn't have any of the big, memorable weapons, so I just thought it was gone with the wind.

I think its a bit glitchy as it doesn't always seem to contain everything that was stolen, but it usually contains some of it.
