Game Lighting

Hey. When i went into the mages guild in Anvil. The lights kept going on and off. When it was bright, the game was smooth, no lagging. When it became dark, it's soooo much lagging. Please help me to make this all bright somehow so thta it would stop lagging. Thanks!
