Also when you start the game, were the king starts talking it also stutters all the way and i miss half of what he says. And what mostly makes me frustruated is in the end were ****** <--(Possible Spoiler) talks, the hole scene stutters! i cant get half of what he says either. Please! Any help? Thanks.

Have you tried the standard stuff?
- check if dxdiag report report things as working properly
- updated hardware drivers. not just GFX- and Sound card drivers, but motherboard as BIOS well
- uninstall DirectX and reinstall it
- uninstall Oblivion and reinstall it

In that case I'd contact Bethesda and provide them with as detailed information as possible. They're the most likely to be able to help. Good luck!

I have exactly the same problem on my Xbox 360. At first I thought it was the game, so I took it back to the shop and got it exchanged for another copy, but it is still happening. I was thinking of sending the Xbox back, but that would be a last resort. Has anyone else had this problem on the Xbox and know how to fix it? Thanks.

Problem Fixed!
Went on the Bethesda website and it states that the problem is caused if your Xbox is set to run on 50Hz, as the game needs to be run on 60Hz. Have changed over to 60Hz and is now working fine! This might also be the problem on the PC, check your graphic card/monitor settings. I have an ATI card in my PC and it alows me to change the refresh rate (in Hz), so that could be the solution.

Mine was already set on 60Hz so i changed it to 70 but it stills stutters matter in fact i tried all Hz options but no use
