What is Azura's Star good for?
It's a soul gem but equal to a grand soul gem. Stats are the same (except for the price). What's the point in such a soul gem?

Azura's Star is a reusable Grand soul gem. It means that if you use the soul in it, the star won't disappear! It can be used to make magical items over and over and over (and over)..

Spoilers, play hints, etc.
It means you only have to carry this one soul gem to recharge your enchanted weapons. During combat simply slip the soul trap spell into the melee action and when you're done fighting top off your weapon's charge. Its also good for enchanting items but black soul gems should be better. I recently used Azura's Star with ogre souls (grand) to enchant some daedric armor with feather and strength bonuses. Then I don the armor go down into the Market sewer and walk up to a bandit archer and let them slash away at me. I just stand there while they attack me with their knife (they won't use the bow when you are close) and occasionally heal myself or block. This is a great way to quickly get your heavy armor and block skills increased. I stood there one time so long that the bandits knife became useless and he had to switch to fisticuffs. At that point I killed him and found another bandit.
