Shadow Ruins Help

Ok so I think im getting close to the end of having to deal with this shadow ruin puzzle crap. I lit up all 4 glyphs to get to the main portal which leads to 3 more portals. Iv tryed each one I always end up at a area where there a hallway with fire coming out of the walls with gaps in the hall way. Im assuming I have to jump these gaps cause I cant find any other around it and my dwarf just cant make the 2 jumps. It looks like when I fall down theres a part of floor down there that can be raised but I cant figure out how to lift the damn thing.
PS: Id look at the walkthrough but cant because of technical difficulties..

Click on the statues to raise the platforms.

Ok, Now I know what you mean. With the first statue on your right, slowly move left just enough to see the pit, while still getting the message about the statue, Left click and the platform on your side rises, run and jump from it.
The next pit, the platform will be on the far side, after you click the second statue message.
