Have you tried reinstalling just in case it is an error with one of the installed files associated with the monk class?
Also, try defragmenting your hard drive too as that has solved problems like this for me before with other games (such as Kotor2). Also, try checking your hard drive for errors and fixing them (using the chkdsk /R command in the command prompt if you use windows XP - not sure about other OS). This has fixed problems with saved games failing to load for me before - especially if they occur after a game has crashed.

well - such an error usually indicates problems with memory and/or that the game is trying to write/reading in the wrong or bad parts of memory.
It might be fixable as suggested by reinstalling, however, I'd test my ram as well to see if there perhaps were more serious problems.

The two official ones made by Bioware are SOU and HOTU. The other three are Premium Modules - they were developed by someone over than Bioware but Bioware liked them so much they decided to use them and so sell them as extra modules.
