Does anyone have any personal experience with Samsung 930BF? Am thinking about getting it but reviews are reviews, and personal experience is something else so any help would be very much appreciated.

Oh backup plan at the moment is LG L1980Q but feel free to add any input about it really. Thanks :)

I don't have that exact model, but I do have a Samsung LCD screen and it has been awesome! No problems at all, and excellent for game graphics.

What model do you use if I may ask? Yes indeed Samsung should be good, I have one now, though not an LCD so I am going with keeping the brand because they really seem to be of high quality. I've looked through tons of reviews and it's hard to keep up with it especially because at least a part of it is subjective ... and monitors are usually not the first thing one reviews.

Also I can get it for about 370-380 Euros which seems like an ok price for a 19" one, and of good quality.

I have the Samsung 713v.
As I said, it has been great. I like Samsung's products a lot, my cell phone is also Samsung. They make high quality stuff IMO.

Ah so you have a 17" one? Funnily enough while browsing through the prices here you can get a 19" one for a very small add-on so that's why I am looking for them ... thanks for answering, that's certainly a one more vote for S and yes they are very good indeed. My telly's one too and I love it.

I use a Viewsonic VA905. I bought it for about $230 USD, the market price is around $270.

I have no problems with my 930BF. Plugged it in and it worked.

It looks good enough to me, perhaps not "top of the line" good, but comparing the price to the quality it is a good buy in my book for anybody who wants a good LCD monitor.

The only monitor for which I've read pretty much universal praise has been the Dell 2005fpw. From a quick froogle search it also seems to cost about the same as the Samsung 930BF and you get an extra inch of space. Look into it, if you haven't already :)

There is only one problem, here from what I see you would have to give up from 700 to 1000 Euroes depending on the company and that is ... ouch. The thing is Dell is not a common thing on the market here, nor is it often bought. We all 'compile' our computers on our own from different brands so ... I'll have to see if I can ship it here somehow. Thanks for mentioning it, who knows maybe I'll get lucky :)

Aha brilliant. Yes it seems to fit the price/what you get for it ratio that I've set for myself and I was hoping someone here had it. Thank you very much, it seems like a very good buy now, especially if the other things doesn't work and knowing my luck ... ! :)

Ahh - now that I*m home instead of at work, I can actually see it is the 940BF I have and not the 930... forget all I said, or replace it with the 940 which is a good buy and rather cheap (in Denmark that is)

Thanks to everyone for your help! I got the SyncMaster 940BF, so that's the same as yours Xandax and ... well I am in heaven that's all I can say. :D I think it will be very, very good, I tested it out on quite a few things and it's great. Oh the price was 395 Euros so that's ok too I think.

Glad to hear it Ashen! Enjoy
I've had my 17 inch Samsung for two years, and it has been awesome, no problems at all.
