Augh! Bug, TOB scrolls to the upper left no matter what I do!

Ugh. Can anyone help?
I did a typical thing this morning; got my coffee, put it next to the computer, started playing TOB, SPILLED THE DAMN COFFEE ALL OVER MY KEYBOARD.
Ok so I curse a lot, turn over the keyboard, drain out liquid, clean up, etc. When I get back to the computer it still works, all the keys on the keyboard work, etc. However --
While the keyboard was upside down draining, a lot of random keys were being pressed. And --
When I got back to TOB, every TOB save (auto save, quicksave) comes up ok, but then the program scrolls off to the upper left, leavning my character in the dust. I can't scroll back down, it wants and DOES stay in the uppper left.
This sucks.
I have done obvious things, thrown away temp/cache folders, restarted, changed graphics configurations, etc. Nothing yet.
Any ideas?
Help please!

Try changing out the keyboard. The arrow keys could be stuck.

I have had the same exact problem and it is driving me crazy!!!! I have a brand-new keyboard. Has anyone solved this problem? I don't think it has anything to do with the coffee. Bug?

Worse and worse.
Now the mysterious "screen scroll" bug is gone. To be replaced by the "dialogue" bug, where if I am having a dialoge with an NPC, and I am given more than one option, I am automatically "given" option one. This means I am stuck in a dialogue loop often, as the first choice is sometimes (tell me more), so I keep choosing tell me more, more, more, can't get out.
This does not happen with all dialogues, but it ALWAYS happens with some. For example, that spirit thing asks at one point what NPC I want. I am ALWAYS given the first on the list (Aerie, Anomen, etc.), I can't choose. Similarly, in the city under seige (I just started it) I try to talk with the militia leader and am forced to pick "tell me more" and can't get out of the loop.
I have installed the Bioware bug patch, I have even reinstalled TOB after deleting the dialogue.tlk.
NO go. I tried saved games, I tried importing a new game, everyone/thing has the same trouble.
AUGH>

two: I think he keys on your keyboards are stuck, this happened to me sometimes as well. Try pressing "1", that might help to unstuck it.

This is nuts -- but what you said WORKED.
I got into one of those looped dialogues, then hit 1. I noted this would momentarily flash the previous dialogue on the screen, although I would not be given the chance to choose an option. So I did what any normal person would do. I help down 1 continually, clicked around with the mouse; hit every other key on the keyboard; hit caps lock num hold shift ctr, did everything, and suddenly ------
It worked.
The dialogue cleared up, I could chose any of the previously unchooseable options.
Somehow something was stuck, it's now unstuck.
THANKS!

Note for the future: if this happens again, consider removing as many TSRs (terminate-stay resident programs) as possible (but nothing you need to run Windows!) before loading BG2. You'll find the more obvious ones down in your system tray, at the bottom right of your Windows desktop. To find out what else is running, press CTRL+ALT+DLT only once.

Re the scrolling. This has happened to me a few times with BG1 and BG2. The pattern I notice was when the PC had been left running for a day or so. Shutting down the PC and letting it cool solved the problem (and cleared out the accumulation of rubbish that takes up RAM when you don't reboot your system). A reboot meaning giving it at least a minute completely off.
It is wise not to have anything running in the background, such as a virus checker, cause this can also cause problems and slow up your system. Ctrl/Alt/Del will tell you what you have running. All you should need are explorer and systray...

Spilling any liquid on your keyboard whatsoever can cause many strange, horrible reactions. I suggest you buy a new keyboard ASAP, as once these problems start, they are sure to plague you until you do.
