Why is my computer showing date in a bantu language?

This morning when I went up, I noticed that in the Windows the system tray where you can see the time, the date said "04 Mosegamanye 2006". When I opened the Date and time properties, I could see that everything was normal except that the names of the months in the roll-down meny was in an unfamiliar language. I found out that this language is Sepedi, also called North Sotho, a bantu language spoken in the of South Africa.
I have Windows XP in English, and everything else looks normal and in English. Now, I don't mind learning the months in Sepedi, but I thought it was a bit odd, why did this happen and how can I change it back to English?

Go to the control panel, date time and regional options, and from there choose the option to change the format of numbers, dates, and times. From there, you can choose what language displays from the drop down box.
Have no idea how it may have got switched though.

Have you let a younger sibling or some friends near your pc? My niece and nephews regularly change stuff like that as a joke if I let them near my pc lol.

Thanks BS, I have now changed it back to UK English. Strangly, nothing else was in Northen Sotho, only the name of the months

"Northen Sotho" is now set as a choice in the language bar, I only want UK English, US English and Swedish as quick choices...how do I remove the Northen Sotho?
EDIT: I found out, so nevermind.
@Mr Sir: I don't have anyone living with me except for my husband, who is a network engineer and also knows better than to touch my computer
Really strange, I wonder why it changed...

Try Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages tab and click the Details button.

And here I thought it was all due to the fact that the artifical intelligence of CE's computer is so advanced that it somehow
*knew* she has recently been in Africa!

Hmmm... had someone been in your house while you were in Africa ? If so, I'm thinking they might have played a bit of a prank on you.
Either that, or your computer's doing drugs.
Not really an Edit: By the sound of it, the former's highly not the case.
