I have been having some trouble with a mages guild quest, so i decided to patch the game, havent had any trouble with it so far so i didnt think to patch it before. i was pleased that when i read the patch notes for the newest patch for the north american version it said this:

In the Cheydinhal Recommendation quest, fixed an issue where Vidkun's body would disappear if you left the well

however vidkuns body is still missing even after i applied the patch, does anyone have any ideas on what i am doing wrong or something else i can do to get this simple quest finished, to go back to a save before i had the quest would cost me many hours, i appreciate any help

i figured out a way, you can use the create item cheat to just create the ring, hate using cheats but hate starting over more, and this aint really cheating lol

From what I've seen the beta patch does not fix all it says it will fix. Anyways, since you're on the PC I gather type this:

- ~ without the shift to open console
- type "player.additem 0002E5AC 1" without the quotations.

And that'll do it, you'll get the ring.
