Getting out of Fort Grief? - SPOILERS

hi there... i've done the quest where you'r esupposed to fetch an axe.
i had some troubles getting in the ruins and now i have troubles getting out.
to get in you need to turn a handle on the ground to the right of the door.
but to get out i don't know what to do. i got all the keys that'll help you ( i think). i have searched the ruin for some time but there is no other way out.
when i press USE on the door it says: "The gate is opened elsewhere."
What should i do? plz help..

Okies, you know where you entered the dungeon, well there's a locked gate on your left (at the point of entering). You need to get in there and voila.

SPOILER ALERT!!
The key you got from the last of the three guys you killed is a fake. You have to exit the dungeon, kill the guy waiting for you, take his key - 'the real key to fort grief' - and then go back inside with it to unlock that door near the entrance. Then activate the device in there to open the outer gate back to the boat.

Yes, depending on your level you can get decent stuff. I got Elven and something else; heavy - can't remember if it was dwarf or daedric or whatever...

Well, I have got the right key from the guy with the right key, I have gone to that room and turned the handle to activate the gate, I go outside and the gate is still closed! I walk up to it and have no icon to open it or anything, and from the web I believe the gates should be open!
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you kill all three hunters inside the fort? When you went outside did the Orc guy killing the person you came to rescue scene play out?

Yes, I killed all three, otherwise you cannot go thru the first door to the second part without killing the first two, and you have to kill the third to get the third key to get the murder scene played out with the Orc!
Also, I have to have seen the murder and killed the Orc to get the real key to be able to go into that room to turn the handle to activate the gate that should open it.
So everything in my post answered your question !
