missing dialogs

I just finished SoA and installed ToB. After starting ToB all the dialog is missing. The game pauses and the dialog box pops up but there is nothing in the box. If I click around in the box I can hit a reply and the dialog advances but of couse I have no idea what anyone is saying. I have flirt pack and banter pack installed.
Can I uninstall and reinstall without losing my saved games? D

You can always save your games. Just move your saved game directory to somewhere else, preferably on another drive or at least outside the Programs directory. Then uninstall, reinstall, and put your saved game directory back in place.
But you did update to the latest official ToB patch first, didn't you?

Thanks for the quick reply fable. I have a new copy of SoA and ToB and am under the impression that it contains all the patches. May try a reinstall. D

The game wasn't released with the last official patch, to keep that in mind.

I'll check that out. I did a reinstall and fixed my problem, thanks for your help. D

after the patch
it's wise to also instal baldursdash
fxes alot of bugs too
