I have been given a horse, but since I have found little use for it I want to get rid of it. In the stables outside of the cities you can buy horses. Is it also possible to sell a horse somewhere?

Never tried - I don't use horses. Why not just take it back where you got it from, and leave it there for the Prior?

Yeah, I am stuck with it too, and no you can't sell it. But it's such a sweet horse that I don't have the heart to just leave it in the wilderness. So since I walk everywhere, I left the little guy in the stable, somewhere.

Oh I am guessing that once you buy another horse, if you buy it, this one will go away.

nope when u buy a new horse ur other one will run away for a lil bit but it comes back....i bought a blk horse wen i had a paint horse and a couplr days ltr it said ur paint horse has safely returned to skingrad stables...now wen i fast travel BOTH horses come...its annoying sometimes...

Interesting question, I never really gave it much thought. Wasn't there an Orc somewhere who bred horses for food instead of riding? I think it was just outside the capital city. Perhaps he/she can take your steed off your hands?

And how about horse armor? Can you sell that? Because I've got the beautiful Shadowmere, and equipped it with Elvish Armor, but it looks dumb on such a dark horse.

Did you try going back to where you bought it in the first place and buying the other kind? Otherwise probably not.

Both follow you ... am so not getting another horse, even this is too much.
