I have some questions about some spells, as I cannot test myself now, I'll be glad someone awnser or coment.
Project Image:
1) If I cast Project Image than Spell Imunity from Divination( from the image) will be the image protected from an enemy True sight, or if the enemy cast True Sight the image will vanish?
2)My mage cast Chain Contigency and put 3x Project Image, to activate when he is hopeles. Then I cast a Project Image(normal) as a side efect, I'll be hopeless and the Chain contingence will activate casting another three projections. The Chain activation with the three projections will vanish the first one? Or is possible to make four images without scrolls?
3) Same as #2, but instead of cast a project image after the chain contigence, can I make a Chain Contigence(3xProject I. to activate when hopeless) then a Spell Triger(3x project image). After cast the Spell Triger is possible to the Chain don't vanish the preview projections?Or is possible to make 6 projection at 0 time, without scroll??
Shapechange:
1)I as a last resource in a battle I chapechange into a Troll, if my oponent have no ways to give me Fire/acid damage, I will die and reborn? Sunray is considered fire damage?
Wild Magic:
As I never play a Wild Magic I have some really stupid doubts(hope you can help).
1)Someone says in forum that the 1st circle have a magic that can duplicate all others magic from the Grimorie. Is that right?
If it is right, is possible to memorize 5 of them, then I cast four of this Doppleganger magic(duplicating other good magics), with the last one I duplicate a Limited Wish and chose the *repetable* wish to give back some spells that I have cast. So as the duplicating spell is from 1st circle I will receive the 4 others that I cast. This process is infinite? or is impossible to do it?
General:
Spells that do not have the level limit in the text. Like Skull Trap or Flame Arrow. Have anyone tested if they really increase their power after lv 25? Because I was a mage lv 30-2 then I cast a flame arrow in my Planetar, as I remember(maybe I’m wrong), the Planetar only gets 5 arrows of damage (the fire damage don’t pass the planetar defenses).
Thanks
[sorry my English]

I know if you cast project im age and choose prot from divination it will protect youf rom true sight. This is how I fight dragons, you see. As for chian for situation helpess, this might cause a problem, but I have read that chain with 3 images will be ok. Try it out, and let us know! This would be a great way of triggering a contingency using a "switch", rather than the potentially wasteful "when enemy sighted". I personally never use chains and triggers for my pc, since I play a hacked sorc, and when you have too many cast able spells per level, the trier and cont. screens don;t show all the spells right. My pc releis soley on timesopa nd greater acuity.

Results. Bad results.
The Troll Shapechange can be killed with fire/acid or without it, so I cannot use it as a last resource
Project Image:
3) It is impossible to do it. Because the spell triger only reach the 6th circle. Dumb Ivan, Dumb.
2) The only good result! With you cast Chain Contigence( 3x Project Image) and order to activate when you are hopeless. Then when you cast a single Project Image, the side effect will render you hopeless and automaticaly activate the Chain Contigence. The 3 new projection will not vanish the first one. So is possible to create 4 projections in the time of one, and without scroll/simulacrum.
The Wild Mage question I don't know even how to use it. So if someone can help I'll be glad! And The level thing I'll see now.

I have just started a Wild mage (lvl 10 so far), so I will try to answer your questions.
What you are thinking about is "???'s Reckless Dweomer" (forgot name), and yes it does allow you to cast any spell you have written. The way it works is, that when you cast it, all the spells you have will appear and you must then select the one you want to cast.
The casting time for the "Reckless Dweomer" is 0, and you will begin casting the selected spell right after, taking as long as its normal casting time.
The drawback for this is, that while a wild mage normally has a 5% chance of a wild surge happening, then RD forces a surge to affect the spell you cast with RD.
Surges can be both good and bad. I have written Incendary Cloud (lvl 7 spell), and I have cast it once with RD - this time it turned out great, the wild surge I got was "No save" - meaning that the poor blokes I cast the cloud on didn't get the save for half damage they otherwise would have gotten, and they died like flies.
Another noteworthy wild surge I got was without RD. I just tried to cast Stoneskin after resting, and that got me:
Wild surge: Double surge (or something like that)
Wild surge: Hold
Wild surge: Lightning bolt
It happened in the Copper Cronet, my entire team was held and most had taken damage, but worst was that the bolt had hit some of the people in there and everybody was going red... Needless to say, I loaded after that one.
Ps. Wild mages are fun...

Nice trick, Ivan.

I'll throw that into the Spells Reference, if you don't mind.

Hã? What? I Don't understand nothing.
You mean cast chain With: Spell Imunity-Evocation; Project Image and Maze. Then cast Contigence with stinking cloud.
So, if I am playing a single player game then I'll die. If I'm playing a multiplayer then I'll vanish by the maze(temporally) an Image will get my place , the stinking cloud will turn down my oponents and the spell imunity????
Is That your idea?
Why a spell imunity while mazed?

Ivan I just tried this:
I have 2 Magic Missiles and 3 RD memorized in 1. level, and 1 Chaos Shield (gives better surges) memorized in 2. level amongst other things. Spell Trigger and LWish is in my spellbook but not in memory.
First I cast Chaos Shield then RD, selects Spell Trigger and loads it with my 2 Magic Missiles. Then I use RD to cast LWish and regain some spells (up to 4 lvl 1-4), actually the first RD gave a surge and tried to turn me to stone (failed) and summoned some monsters, but the second RD worked. I then cast LWish with RD again for another rememorization, and lo and behold all my spells were back as if I had never cast any, and I were a Spell Trigger (and some summons) richer...
I imagine the cheese value will reach greater heights if I were to get my hands on Wish (rememorize _all_ spells

).
Hmm, I suddently sit and wish for the ring of wizardry form BG1 with its "double number lvl 1 spells" - then maybe you could get through the game only memorizing lvl 1 spells...

That's some serious Cheese.

How hard is it to get Nahal's Reckless Dweomer to do what you want?

That is very hard to say.
I tried to use all five of my 1. lvl slots on RD. Then I tried to use them to cast LWish - the first four times it failed, but I got it right the fifth time.
I used the wish to restore spells, and thus got two RD back - they both went perfect with LWish...
It is very random, but whenever you use RD _always_ cast chaos shield first, it really helps - just lasts too short to be cast after rest (5 rounds + 10 rounds/5 levels).
Ps. Does anybody know if "Wild Surge: Color Change" wears off? My mage looks like a cooked lobster with his now (very bright) red skin

- getting yellow hair dosn't help either...

It appears that my second Color Change nullified the first. Now I just have to hope that I also get a second Sex Change - oh well, Viconia dosnt seem to mind so far...

Interesting. So the combo is possible. The wild Mage is far better than I think before. You can cast and regain some level spell. Thanks Dead Frog. I think i'll start a wild mage for now

Explain again:
With you are playng a single player, then someone maze your character you'll not die?
The spell imunity will activate in the same time of the project image, so how can it protect the projection?

Hmm good point cast it first and put in stone skin or summat

I am still slightly confused. The Maze & Stinking Cloud concept is clear to me, but won't Spell Immunity affect you instead of your Project Image?
