Yet another undocumented ultra bizarro bug

I've had a lot of trouble in my most recent run through of SoA/ToB. I did a clean install of both games and am going through SoA for the first time with ToB installed. I've had a lot of NPC's whose actions appeared to become interrupted for no apparent and posts here in the past have perplexed the readers of this forum; most solutions result in reloading an older game and then not doing a certain event or equipping an item which seems to trigger these odd behaviors. Anyway, thanks for reading and onto my latest problem:

In the underdark, upon entering Ust Natha, it would now seem that any character who equips a ring of gaxx or ring of regeneration has their actions completely interrupted. I will select an action and the named pc(yeah, me)/npc will start and then abruptly start. I removed items from each character one by one until I narrowed it down to items that provide regeneration. Don't have any other items that provide regeneration besides rings so I've got no other types of items to benchmark with. Will try SK'ing in dragonslayer and other SoA items that provdie regeneration to see what happens.

As always, thanks for reading, and questions and comments more than welcome.

Those of interest who may have read the initial post and had no idea on what to reply to this; the bug seems to ironed itself out now that I am out of the underdark. Anybody want a drow-kabob.

@Ned: Strangely, I'm experiancing the same problem. Did you actually find a fix for this, or did it just go away?

This is a known bug that is caused by the changed character models. Dunno exactly why it's caused, but some of the patches help with it, reducing it's occurances.

Aegis,

As soon as I left the underdark, it went away. It wasn't that bad. I had this problem in other places within shadows of amn. You just have to be careful because your char's can have this 'interruption' happen to them during combat and if you don't notice, you find they're just standing there acting as the shield of flesh. Leave that for the summons.
