Running and jumping

Am I the only one that can't jump while running? If I remember it correctly, I used to do it all the time in Morrowind. But in Oblivion, I am only able to jump when I'm standing still.

I can do it just fine - in fact, I think that jumping is one of the easiest skills to improve - all you need to do is jump repeatedly as you run from place to place.

I too can run and jump at the same time (not to mention chew gum lol). Just kidding of course. No problems doing that here.

Oh no! I have a personal bug! How terrible!
To be a bit more precise than in my first post: I can jump while I am walking but not when I am running. So my character keeps on running when I press the 'jump' key when the 'forward' and 'run' keys are already down.
I think I will have to do some experimenting to see what the cause of the problem is...
Thanks!

there is an alledged problem with using the shift key to run but i'm afraid i've never really investigated as I havent had any problems (and always user capslock perma run). unless you have a particular desire not to it would probably be easiest for you to permarun?

I use shift in battle for moving around and no issues there. It could be indeed that while running there is a problem for him so hitting caps lock and then trying to jump is not a bad idea. Resetting the controls too, who knows.

Problem solved

Using the 'always run' (permarun) switch solved the problem. I think I must have been the victim of the keyboard behaviour StevXtream posted, because the 'jump', 'forward' and 'run' buttons were next to each other on my keyboard.
Thanks again!
