I have a lot of enchanted weapons, but they lose their charge very fast. I don't know how to get them to regain their power, so how do you do it? if someone could help me that would be great.

Thank you.

I haven't gotten that far yet, but in Morrowind, rest would recharge them. It may be that they require something different in Oblivion, but maybe not. Give it a try. Weapons with magic charges could take many days of rest to recharge if the system hasn't changed.

Yeah I remember resting would recharge the weapon in Morrowind. I'm about 15 days into the game so my characters gotten plenty of rest. But none of the weapons have regained any power. If you find out something please let me know.

I figured it out

I did a little internet surfing and found some website that answered my question. So thank you to anyone who try to help me...which isn't a lot but thanx anyway. For anyone that is like me and doesn't know how to recharge your enchanted weapons then simply do this.

"To recharge your enchanted weapons, you need to either take them to a Mage's Guild representative and pay and arm and a leg, or acquire Soul Gems (usually sold at Mage's Guilds, though you can find them in other places) and fill them with souls. To trap a soul, acquire the Soul Trap skill from the school of Mysticism and cast it on a foe just before they die. It can be used by even players with a low Mysticism skill. The power level of a trapped soul determines how many enchantment points are restored to a weapon." (some dude)

thats not really a spoiler....weylan and varlan(i think thats what they are called) stones can be found in various dungeons all over. one recharges your magika the other all your enchanted items.....the trick is though, they are hard to get in those dungeons...usually the whole point of the dungeon...and u can sell the enchanted one back for a grip of gold

What kinda dungeons are these? like the old forts or something? or those places that have the stairs that twist around to the entrance?

I've been to many of these places and have looted the heck out of them but I havn't seen any of these stones, maybe I missed them but I didn't know what I was looking for.

That's definitely in. It's no spoiler to say that if you go around to the various mage guilds, you'll find several which each feature a mage who can recharge enchanted items. (It has its own icon at the bottom of the screen, during conversation.)

Recharging is expensive, though. Of course, so are spellmaking and enchanting.

on some research i found that the varlan stones are in the elvish ruins...not all of em but a few...i cant really tell u exact locations because there are just so damn many of em....there value is 1000 gold if that helps any...also u can try to invest in the soul trap spell(about 50-75 gold) and buy some soul gems or find them...when u run into creatures(the more powerful the bigger charge they give) use the soul trap spell on them and they get encased in your soul gems...just click on the gems in your inventory and it will recharge some items for u....its cheaper and safer

Welkynd and Varla stones, but Welkynd is for you, for replenishing Mag. One of the ruins is right across from the Imperial Prison Sewer, slightly diagonally, so just step across the lake and you'll find it - that's Vilverin. That should give you an idea of what you are looking for. Though Varla stone are rare.
