So is there a way to specify what kind of weapon/armor your followers use? I hate when they have an awesome Magik sword and switch it for some dinky little stick. Why do they do this? Aside from that who do you think makes the best follower? Dog (worthless mut) has proven to be great so far, but who else?
And just a side question, Im a master at dodge and melee and still kind of such, why is this?

There is no real way to specify what an npc uses, they just try to use the highest or most powerful weapon reguardless of skill and technical alitude.
Freaking annoying when an npc busts out an elephant gun that one wanted them to carry.
Dog is a cool npc, majorly because of the fact he'll never damage his weapons or armour; unfortunately he's much too overpowered for most groups.
I also like Sogg Mead Mug for his strength and carry space (not to mention he doesn't get angry when killing good people) and I tend to take Virgil for some reason.

I can't even guess the missing word in this sentence.

NPC's automatically equip the weapon/armour in their inventory they think is best. Kind of annoying, true, but an easy way to work around this (at least for armour), is to have for example a dwarf carry all the big armours, and a half-ogre carry the small ones. (Because they can't use them, and thus they won't auto-equip them.)

Yeah, daedalready... I wouldn't ever drop Virgil out of the party, because he has been with me from start. He also says alot so i don't feel lonely =D. He might not be the best character, but you got to have him!
