Hello
I have nearly finished this game and got stuck with one of those stupid bug near the end. Knowing not so I run thru some walkthru to find help and unwittingly spotted that for almos every quest I the game, I got half or even less EXP points then the walkthru indicated !
And Im playing on easy. (Brujah, male)
My theory is that one or more or your characters stats do modify how much exp you'll get rewarded.
I would bet on Inteligence, perception or wits. (since they have to do with experince in real life and also because I have those quite low)
Did anybody else experienced this ?
Am I right or the help was just wrong (which I doubt it) ?
If Im right - which stats are responsible for this (since Im willing to play again from start with those hyped to max - would be sooo much worth it)?

played as loads of different clans - the xp is based on what you do, not on your stats. i'm certain of this. you'll get different amounts of xp sometimes depending on how you went about doing a quest, or whether you missed part of the quest etc. you also get xp for doing little extra stuff (such as getting the briefcase in traffik without anyone seeing you).

There's also that one artifact you can get which gives +1xp every time you earn 3 or more xp.

I am talking about finishing specific quest on maximum still getting half of what is mentioned in walkthru.
ie: "Sibling Rivalry" quest.
-in gamebanshee walkthru is stated that for siding with one of sisters at the end will get you 5 epx points. While managing to keep them both alive gets you 6 xp.
-I have tryed both ways from pure curiosity whn I played and for 1st option I got 2 points and for 2nd (the harder) I got 3 xp.
I wount be making list of quests where xp revard counts dont fit with whats mentioned in the guide but its almost every quest that had to give me more then 2 pts.
Might also be a bug .. (though quite strange one)
Or does this have to do with difficulcy option ?
Im playing on esay so I think I should have more of everything, not less
Can you please confirm from your own game experience that the numbers of px pts are ok in gamebanshee walkthru ? Would be great to know at least this for sure.

It is located in: the Giovanni Mansion: Specifically: in the Catacombs under the Mansion
And although I never bothered to verify the XP values listed in the walkthrough, they always seemed spot on to me.

it does not give 6xp in one go, you get little bits but they add up to 6. for example, you might get 3xp then a further 3xp in that conversation, making it to 6 where as if you don't keep them both alive you get 3 then 2 making 5. so you prob are getting the right amount and not realising it. it does this a lot in the game. the walkthrough just gives the cumulative total xp from the whole conversation.

Never had the problem with any clan (had lots of other problems with them, but never that one).
What mr_sir said. And to expand, some quests give the experience incrementally, so that you might get some of the experience part way through the quest, for example when you receive the police report on the Elizabeth Dane (I think), even though most the quest is still to go, or by obtaining some experience at the end of the quest, and some more if you report back to relevant NPC(s). The walkthrough only gives you the total. By the time you hit the later stages of the game this is less common, but if you play through again and keep a note of your experience before starting a quest, and then after ending, see if the discrepancy is so pronounced.
