Forgotten Realms Games Tattoo's

Like with Planescape Torment, Tattoo's symbolize an increase in ability. Well I went this ability thing and increased my own.
I got a tatt of the Baldur's Gate One PC game skull with 12 water drops on a stone seal. Its on my arm.. Looks real awesome.
That was my first Tatt ever. I got my second with-in 20 minutes of the first. It is the Baldur's Gate 2 Celtic girl-elf disk. It is on my belly button. That thing hurt so bad. First 45 minutes OK, after that ouch, please stop. Still needs some minor detail. But it looks sharp.
I am getting the Tales of the Sword coast Ship in Wood Grain on my lower back and the IceWind Dale Tree in a Ruin stone on my Uppper Back. I am getting the Heart of Winter Dragon and heart on my Chest. and The Throne of Bhaal skull with three fingures and parchment on my other arm.
I will try to post links to view later if you all so desire. Thought I would share with ye all good people.

Wow now I Einenamolos.

You know that the droplets are supposed to be blood and - overall - is actually the symbol of Bhaal, right?

Have you considered that your interest in the forgotten realms might wane and then you'll have permanent tattoos on your body of something you don't even like any more? There is of course painful surgery to remove tattoos but that is an expensive and lengthy process.

God I sound like an old man but you know tattoos don't actually change anything, they look quite cool for a few years I'm sure until the colours fade and they become a large green blob, has anyone actually bothered advising you of any of the harm that can come to you from them?

A tatoo like those is really awesome, but I think mr Sleep has a point. I want to tattoo my body, but I'm not decided about what to do, and the BG artwork is one of the things that tempts me, But I'm afraid about how my skin will be 30 years from here and how will I react when I look at it in the mirror... even though the SoA symbol rules.

So what if eventually grows out of Forgotten Realms in future years? If he had a great time in his life so far playing with it, then in future years it will serve as a reminder for all those good times.

Just make sure you'll have enough surface of skin for a WoW tatto :D

I agree with Fenix... Though I don't have any tattos at all (sry guys :p ), I look back on my "BG-years" as a nice time to remember, so if I would have taken a small Bhaal symbol or something I don't think I would be sorry to wear it now. As for wearing more than a small, hidden sign... dunno, that would be too much for me :)

If you're going to have any regrets or be tormented because you got a tattoo, then a Planescape: Torment tattoo is absolutely the best tattoo you can get.

Another Bhaal fact: Bhaal wasn't just the god of murder. He also governed non-natural deaths in general: death by violence, ritual/sacrifice, etc.

Huh, I had no idea and I'd like to think I have some small measure of Forgotten Realms knowledge: where'd it say that Galuf? I have no doubt you're right, I'm just curious.

Not exactly worded that way, but it says similar aspects for him on page 41 of the Forgotten Realms sourcebook Lost Empires of Faerun. His other aspects and Faiths and Pantheons-esque deity stats (even though non-officially made) can be found here. The stats are bit between the top and the middle of the page

You may want to note that Bhaal may refer to the semitic god Baal.
(From Wikipedia under Bhaal :)
The name Bhaal is almost certainly derivative of Baal

(From Wikipedia under Baal :)
Although the word "Baal" can refer to any god and even to human officials, as a name it is used substantially for Hadad, who was a god of the sun, rain, thunder, fertility and agriculture, and the lord of heaven. The myths surrounding Baal are mainly of the common mythological pattern of the fertility god who is slain and resurrected, perhaps creating the change in the seasons. Baal's father is El, the brother of Dagan or Dagon, another Semitic god.

So, substract an H and he can be anything you want. ;)

I just hope he doesn't get all the tattoos TNO has in the game (i.e all the wiriting on the back. :speech: )

I don't have a tattoo...yet...(too young) but I've been considering getting one. Of course, these wouldn't be huge and in blatantly visible areas, and they would definately have some kind of meaning behind them (for memories...)
