does charisma influence dialogue options in icewind dale II like it does a bit in neverwinter nights (with persuade checks etc.) or is it just things like diplomacy and intimidation that influence choices in conversations? i know charisma influences store prices so i use my sorceror whenever buying or selling stuff, just my sorceror is my party leader and has low diplomacy but my monk has high diplomacy. which should i use in conversations that don't involve getting rewards? (i know monks sometimes decline rewards etc.)

AFAIK, Charisma only affects the vast majority of conversations through the mechanism of conversation skills. The better the Cha, the better the base score for your conversation skills, but the level of the skill and your dialogue choices are what determine the dialogue options.
I don't think there are any dialogue options that depend on the raw score of a stat (unlike in the 2nd ed-based IWD1 and the BG series), but I could be wrong.

thats what i thought, but just wanted to check as been a long time since i last played this game. playing the first icewind dale as well and noticed a lot of dialogue options i didn't remember this time and then realised my party leader has very high charisma where as last time through she didn't so it got me curious about icewind dale 2 and charisma.
