Hi
I'm playing ToB using a new guy (not a continuation). I want to have the abilities that you would gain in hell at the end of the game. I forgot what they are.
I can use shadow keeper (maybe) to get the abilities but I cannot recall what they are. Anyone remember?
Also...What do you think of this team
1) Jaheira
Role: dish and take damage (ironskins) also a caster
2) Korgan
Role: chop people up (and bash them too)
3) Sarevok - Dual class to thief once you get the HLA that auto criticals
Role: back up warrior and thief
4) Viconia
5) Edwin
6) PC ? anything ?

Roleplayingwise I'd say Jaheira doesn't really fit this 'evil, like, totally!' party. I know her alignment is neutral but in dialogue and storyline she seems far more geared towards 'good'. Also, for power, you have more than enough fighters and Viconia is a topnotch healer, so you don't need Jaheira's fighter or druid skills.
Why not take Haer'Dalis instead? He's good at complementing parties.
Or leave Jaheira out, don't replace her and make your pc a Blade or Skald. Your whole party will lvl quicker that way, especially with dualing Sarevok.

Personally, Id kick edwin and just make pc a sorceror... More than enough mage power as ToB is more about taking damage and a lot of enemies have high magic resistance.

For the record, I just completed ToB with three mages in a 6 person party, and I can't say that I had any significant problems; it's a matter of knowing how to effectively use your spells. I had lots of lower resistance spells and Greater Malisons loaded into my triggers, sequencers etc. These combined with Time Stop and Alacrity wreaked havoc on many enemies.
Though, my fighters were all very powerful:
*Korgan
*Saravok
*Yasreana
So, don't worry about whether you have fighters, mages etc. Just take whomever suits your needs, personal playing style, etc.

I think I'm going to kick out Jaheira (not because she's a goody...she had an interesting spat with Sarevok so far).
She doesn't have many HP for a fighter. I know she has ironskins but the ToB enemies hit pretty hard. Unlike SoA you have to babysit Jaheira (keep an eye that the skins aren't down) or she is running away casting sanctuary).
I made my PC a F/M/C but I may change it. I see the potential but I think it takes to long. Maybe in a small party of him and sarevok...
Hey thats actually a cool idea. Maybe one other character and level up like lightning.
