regarding inns and taverns

When you rest, the inn keeper gives you options to choose from peasant, merchant, noble, and royal for your room. I tried all of four of them and they are exactly the same. If they are exactly the same, then why did the developers include that in the game? The only difference as far as I can see is the money required to rest.

Supposed to heal you more during the night if you get a better room... I have always just got the cheap 1GP room, except with Brie Cheesewell she's kindof stuck up, and she won't sleep in the cheapo room so she always gets the "Royal" treatment.

Ok, I understand now. However, if you turn on Rest Until Healed option, then the choices become unneccessary. And I think I am pretty sure that everyone will turn on that option after BG1 pissed people off because they have to cast healing spells after they rest.

I never use that option because I don't like wasting all that game time...

You heal either 1, 2, 3 or 4 Hit Points per night, or something equally lame. I always use the cheap room because I am too lazy to click another... :p

Yeah Xyx, from the straight efficiency standpoint, always click the cheap room.

However, as I said, in roleplaying one of my characters, that's not her style...She won't even stay in inns that don't have the fanciest room

If you just want a cheap room BTW the best is the inn at the city gates because it's the nearest to the edge of the map! You don't have to walk too much to get there.
