Which do you prefer?

Another question about how people develope their characters.
When picking armor, do you go for heavy armor, medium armor, light armor, or unarmored? They all have their pros and cons. Heavy armor is well... heavy, but provides a lot of extra protection from what I've found. Medium is fairly average, it looks the coolest in my opinion (except glass

). I usually use light armor, because it just seems to fit with my other skills (I play thieves

). Unarmored is extremely handy as you don't need to carry extra weight, and you can play around with the clothes (like extravagant, expensive, etc.).
I've found more variety with heavy and medium armor than light, but once you find the glass in a nice chest in
Ald'ruhnI don't care much about variety.

Once I'm farther in the game I train in unarmored so I have more room in my inventory for loot I've stolen.
What's your favourite?
And a poll, because I want to see the numbers.

I switch around.
I usually have a combination of light, unarmored and heavy.

Light. I can carry more and since I'm basically a packrat, that's all it takes to sell me.

Light armour, but late in the game I switch to the best legendary armour for each part.

Medium Armour. There's a good variety and being lighter than the heavy armour allows you to carry more. The more points in the skill increase the protection it gives too (like any armour).

Heavy armor. Alot of legendary armor (Lords Mail) is heavy.

Hmph.Heavy armor is too heavy...i had a full ebony set with my orc, together with some unigues such as lords mail, and i barely could carry anything else with me then.Light armor is pretty good, weighs least of them and provides quite good protection.Curiass of the Saviours hide is also a very good light armor, for example.
I voted for medium armor though. It looks very nice and doesn`t make you all so powered at the end.It doesn`t weigh much aswell.I have seen orcish, and it looks horrible in my opinion.Bonemold is the best.

Medium armor seems to have been neglected by the gamemakers. Light armor too, but it is better than Medium.
In a game like morrowind I guess we could have a more "diferenciative" weight and agility modifiers, maybe really penalizing those who want extra armour. That'd make, say, bonemold armor to be used.
Also, glass armor is very atractive; daedric armor have nice textures, so as ebony armor;and medium armor is... strange. At least vanilla armor. Modded versions may be better.
I'm currently using an unarmored character who teleports to his house in Balmora to pick up armour of many kinds if the fight is too tough. Unarmored is not efective, but it is cool to have 400 pounds free to colect enemy armour

I voted unarmored, but I am using a mod that corrects the problems concerning this skill.
I like to wear nice clothes (also from mods), so no ugly clunky armor is going to ruin my good looks.

In a few of the noble houses in Ald'ruhn (under Skar) you can find a bunch of neat clothes behind those locked doors and stuff

. It's sort of fun dressing up exactly like someone. Especially if they have the same headset.

I like to switch, because i use a full set of glass armor, or a full set of dadric armor. but i carry both around, and i usuially use either the dadric cressant, or the one spear that you get from almelextra... I can carry both because my streingh is 4000. With that, i can carry sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much, its not funny.

um vivec did you use the spelltrap glitch??
Its actually better if you use 100 points of feather then the spelltrap than fortifying your strenght because strength also contributes to how much damage you can do so it kinda off balancews the game
Back to the topic ... I must agree with lord vivec as to switching around.i mean when you have (spoiler)
Bloodmoon and you haved to go to graring the nord and you can make ice armour and weapons its good to switch bettween daedric ebong glass stalhrim dwemmer. Her hands blessed armour ect...

I too tend to switch between armors(light, medium, and heavy). It all depends on the look of the armor. I heard of an armor called Nordic mail armor and it seems to be pretty strong, but I can not find it. Is this a rumor or does it really exist?

It really exists, at least it does in the "White Wolf of Lokken" mod. I don't recall if it's in Bloodmoon as well.

I have found pieces of it scattered around Solstheim, particularly in ice caves and burial mounds. It is possible Lokken adds it to leveled lists, but I suspect this not to be the case. Maybe somebody not running Lokken can confirm.
