EXP Cap

I'm at the EXP Cap and I can't decide if I should get a program to remove it or not to?
Any input would be helpful

I'm all for exceeding the exp cap... if I could just get it to work right with my game

It just kills RPG's to be stuck at a level for any period of time because improving is what they're all about. Besides, you still have to earn the experience! Now summoning pit fiends for the sake of killing them to gain exp is another matter entirely... but earning experience beyond the cap through quests is perfectly alright. The most rewarding mage spells (9th level)aren't even learned without breaching the cap.

Personal preference. In the BG games the conventional wisdom is that the cap is there for game balance (as per Bioware).....

Removing the xp cap is called cheating. That said it seems that some people have a problem with this and try to delude themselves into thinking that it's not.
Go ahead use the xp cap remover if that's what you want. The usual advice at this point is to finish the game without cheating and after that go ahead...
Do as you please, you paid for it...

Well, Zorac, thanks for that ever-so-tactful comment (delusion etc.)

With the cap removed. I wonder how high you can go?

Are you sure about that Drakron? I have made sure to keep a saved game of my mage before he exceeded the cap, but I've heard A LOT that Neverwinter Nights will just bust you back down to what your level should be if you import a "hacked" character.

Even an imported character? Hmmm... but some of these people have superpowered characters that they might not want to lose anyway.

About how high you can get (in the game...): I think the levels could be unlimited till the end of implemented XPtables. But using the XPcap=-1 variant you won't benefit from leveling up beyond the cap (never tried this anyway). Using the remover with level 50 benefits implemented (new 2da and BAM files) you could reach lvl 50 AND benefit from it.
e.g. IIRC in BG1 and IWD you could remove the cap but didn't benefit from.

Elenias, it does work. I know, because my mage is level 18 and has 9th level spells

Unfortunately, my game also stopped working...but I'm pretty sure it's not the exp cap. Many others have used it and had no problems whatsoever.

In AD&D p&p you can only go to Level 30, that it´s, that was because PC became to Powerful and was dificult to get a real chalanger in playing. At level 30 only powers avatars could challange you in the prime , so most of the times you retire from adventure or you could go to a Planarscape adventure were the monsters were very high level.Even Elminster is only a 29 level mage.

...ok...thanx for correcting this point. As posted I only tried the remover and with it there's the very end at level 50...definitely...and I'm very sure about that...

As for Shadowkeep I don't know. The editor from TeamBg is used to hack a saved game char to (it does a lot than this) edit your ability scores. IMHO If you have not finished the game leave this stuff alone till you do.
